December Meeting Minutes

December 13, 2006
 

bulletMeeting called to order by Paul Felkey @ 12:40 p.m.
bulletIntroductions.
bulletRestrooms and emergency procedures..
bulletSign in sheets.
bulletPaul thanked Rexam for hosting September’s meeting.  The meetings for October and November were cancelled.

New Business: 

bulletCalendars.  The membership approved $750.00 at the September meeting to purchase 500 calendars.  The price has increased by $200.00.  Motion was presented & passed to spend the additional $200.00 to buy the calendars.
bulletBy-Laws.  These are posted on our website at www.glasc.org.  We run our meetings according to these by-laws.  If anyone sees that we are not or would like to make any changes, please contact either Paul Felkey or Michele Baker.
bulletThe 2007 meeting schedule was passed around.  Our meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month.  If you would like to host a meeting, but cannot hold the meeting on the 2nd Wednesday, we are flexible with moving the meeting to a different date.
bulletUsually in October we nominate persons for the board and we vote on those nominations at our November meeting.  Due to our October & November meetings being cancelled, we are voting & swearing in officers at today’s meeting.
bulletBallots were passed around and calculated by Jason Smith (Quest Environmental) & Donna Majewski (Chemtura).  The results were:
 
bulletTrustee:  Mike Holle (Wabash National)
bulletTreasurer:  Rob Outhouse (Hagemeyer)
bulletSecretary:  Michele Baker (Huston Electric)
bulletVice President:  Denny Smith (Tippecanoe County Highway Dept.)
bulletPresident:  Paul Felkey (Subaru of Indiana Automotive)
bulletBoard members were then sworn in by outgoing Vice President Joyce Peterson

bulletJoyce Peterson thanked the council for their support during her family situation at this time last year & for letting her be a part of this organization.
bulletTreasurer’s Report:  Rob Outhouse was absent at this meeting.  A written report will be handed out at our January meeting.
bulletNext Years Dues.  Officers will meet to decide if the dues will remain unchanged again for 2007.  Municipalities are exempt from dues.
bulletThe dues for 2006 were $35.00 per company.  This entitles you to send up to three (3) representatives from your organization. The dues for 2006 were $35.00 per company.  This entitles you to send up to three (3) representatives from your organization.
bulletSusan Hayenga with Tate & Lyle could host the January meeting if we can hold it at Ivy Tech.  Mark Brandyberry will see if they will be able to host.
bulletThe Tippecanoe County Extension Office is available free of charge to host meetings.
