Meeting called to order by Paul Felkey @ 12:45
p.m.
Paul thanked Kathy Frederick & Chad Gaither for
hosting today’s meeting & Ivy Tech for providing their facility.

Last month’s meeting minutes are posted on our
website.
Paul thanked Brian Sebastian for hosting last
month’s meeting at Ivy Tech.
New Business:
Rob Outhouse & Susan Hayenga were approved by the
board for Treasurer and Trustee, respectively. They were sworn in at
last month’s meeting.
Treasurer’s Report: $3,572.45. We had a total of
8 new members this month for a total of 51 members.
E-mail Paul with any website updates.
The August 9th meeting is now available
to host due to Kyle Kerber leaving TRW and taking a job with Cummins in
Columbus. If anyone is interested in hosting this meeting, please
contact either Paul or Michele.
Presentation:
Roger Johnson – Indiana State Fire Marshall.
Roger thanked the Greater Lafayette area
community for the outpouring of support for the recent death of
Chief Steven Smith with the Wea Township Fire Department.
Roger was appointed by Governor Mitch Daniels
18 months ago.
Roger went over his many duties as our fire
marshall. His office is just a phone call away if you have any
questions. He suggests that you start with your local fire
department first.
He acknowledged the “Safe & Sound Squad” program that was started
with the Lafayette Fire Department.
