Meeting was called to order at 12:10 pm by Paul Felkey.
Paul thanked Diane West at Rea Magnet Wire & Mike Boone at Safety Solutions
for providing a facility and hosting a meeting respectively.

Paul thanked last months host, Major Tracy Brown
& the Tippecanoe County Sheriffs Department.
Old Business:
Elizabeth Mills is
retiring from maintaining the GLASC website at the end of the year. We are
looking for someone to take over. More information is to come.

New Business:
Treasurers Report =
$3,381.01. We have two (2) new members; SSCI located in West Lafayette
and the Lafayette Parks & Recreation Department.
Nominations for next
year. All positions are open except for one (1) Trustee position. E-mail
any nominations to Paul Felkey or Michele Baker. We would like to vote on
the nominations at our November 9th meeting.
Our next meeting is
November 9th at 12:00 p.m. The meeting is being hosted by
Richard Doyle & the Lafayette Fire Department. The meeting will be held at
their training facility located on 500 S. Lunch will be provided. Please

Solutions. Bob is the Director of Footwear
Sales. He has been in the industrial footwear industry for 30 years.

Addresses the test
methods used to evaluate the performance of
the footwear.
F2413-05 Standard Performance Requirements for Foot Protection.
Addresses minimum requirements for foot protection,
the sections covered (Impact, Compression, Metatarsal, Conductive,
Electrical Hazard, Static Dissipative, Puncture Resistant, Chainsaw
Cut Resistant & Dielectric Insulation), Hazard Assessment and
Labeling |
 | Footwear will be labeled with
ASTM F2413-05 (replacing ANSI Z41). New standards went into
effect April 2005. Footwear manufacturers and distributors have
granted a 2 year window before new labeling is mandatory. |

steps/stairways are designed or provided with slip resisting
surfaces.
If workers are
exposed to ice/snow conditions, provide additional
anti-slip devices.
Rely on your footwear vendor for
recommendations.
Test footwear products in problem
