GLASC Meeting Minutes for August 13, 2003
Meeting Place: Eli Lilly

Topic: Universal Safe Work Permits
Meeting called to order by Paul Felkey at 1:05 PM. 
Old Business:
None.

New Business:
Paul thanked Eli Lilly for having GLASC members attend their facility and
for the Universal Safe Work Permit program that April Rademaker,
Occupational Health and Safety Assistant, put on.
There was no meeting last month, so the meeting minutes from June 11th
“Work Place Violence” that had been posted to the GLASC web site were
accepted as posted. If anyone is interested in more information regarding
this subject they can go on line to

Paul made note that on September 14 the OSHA 501 class will be presented,
this will be the last class before a pre requisite class #511 will be
required before the 501 can be taken.
The treasures report was given by Melissa. She will be leaving for Great
Britain. Good Luck, Melissa.
This years Hoosier Safety Conference theme will be “Safety All Stars” and
will be held at the West Lafayette Cumberland Conference Center.
These two items were the main topics of the Executive Summary Report:
1. New treasurer.
2. December meeting to
be at Radisson unless another place is suggested.
This should be forwarded to Paul Felkey.
The 9/10/03 meeting will be at the Indiana State Police from 12:00-2:00.
Lunch will be provided from Subway. “Identity Theft” will be the topic of
discussion. This is in regards primarily to the Internet. RSVP is
required.
The 10/8/03 meeting will be at BioAnalytical, 2710 Kent Avenue, West
Lafayette at 12:00. Lunch will be provided. The topic will be Fire
Safety. RSVP is required.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:15p.m.
