Donna Majewski from the Great Lake Chemical thanked
GLASC for their help with the Hoosier Safety Conference. Paul noted that
through the booth that we manned at the Conference, GLASC had 5 new
companies join. Donna also stated that the conference for next year will
also be held at Cumberland Place.
It was also brought to our attention that OSHA will be
requiring a prerequisite class 511 in order to take 501. Region 5 will be
offering the 501 class September 14-19 for $695.00(Member). This will be
the last 501 class before the 511 requirement. Enrollment can be made
through the Hoosier Safety Council web site.
Meeting was adjourned at 2:30p.m.

Feature Presentation:
I wanted to
thank those of you that were able to attend the shortened
workshop on Workplace Violence Prevention on 6/11/03 hosted at
Caterpillar - "Great Equipment - Extra thanks to CAT". Should any of
you have interest in the entire training seminar you can reach me via
web site
www.workplaceviolence.com or e-mail at
workplaceviolence@hotmail.com I also wanted to mention that any
GLASC member organization will receive a $100 discount on a single
session or double the discount for multiple sessions.
Last thing - Many times
people that attend the full 3 1/2 hour seminar have asked if even family
members could attend somehow. I am considering hosting a seminar
possibly at the Radisson. Obviously the cost per person would be
drastically reduced depending on how much interest there would be. If
you would like to be notified in the future if I actually do offer an
"open session". Please e-mail me at the above "hotmail" address and I
will inform you accordingly
Thanks again for your time and I
hope to see you "crawling around" in a seminar in the near future.
