The November meeting was
held on the 13th at Eli Lilly. Andy Brewer of Mettam Safety
hosted the meeting and the speakers were Bill McCoy and John Martin of
North Safety.
Paul Felkey welcomed
everyone to the Greater Lafayette Area Safety Council meeting and thanked
Mary Blair for providing the facility and Andy Brewer for hosting the
meeting.

Old Business:
E-mail addresses are needed for all future correspondence. All invoices,
newsletters, and company membership information will be sent out
electronically in 2002. Please let Michelle Levell
michelle.levell@subaru-isuzu.com know your e-mail address to update
the GLASC database.

New Business:
Bill Forney spoke on the MICCS program for
construction groups in the Lafayette area. He stated that they currently
have 11 members and if anyone would like additional information to call
the hotline at 477-4251. He also let everyone know that there is an
Electrical Safety class being offered on December 3rd at
Caterpillar for $25/person. Call the hotline to register.
Paul Felkey let everyone know that the
website has been updated and improved! The next meeting is posted on the
front page to make it easier for everyone to find out where we are meeting
and what the topic will be. Also, a page has been added for the past
GLASC Officers. If you have any information on past Officers please
submit these on the website.
Donna also stated that the Hoosier Safety
Council was so impressed with the Cumberland Place facilities that they
will be using this again for the 2003 Annual Hoosier Safety Council
meeting. This is set for April 29th – May 1st. The
theme for 2003 is “Catch the Wave.” Get with Donna if you are interested
in being a part of a sub-committee.

begun and you may request a packet from
www.in.gov/labor/award. Donna also let us know that there will be a
dunk tank at the Annual Hoosier Safety Council Meeting with an IOSHA
inspector and several safety professionals taking turns being in the tank.
Paul Felkey then asked for any additional
nominees for 2003 Officers. There were none. The proposed slate of
Officers was presented, accepted and closed. The vote was unanimous and
here are our new officers to be sworn in at December’s meeting.
