Next GLASC Meeting

| The next meeting of the Greater Lafayette Area Safety Council is
Wednesday, Sept. 13th at Old Country Buffet from 12:00 1:30 p.m. This
monthly meeting is sponsored by GRAINGER INDUSTRIAL SALES
and is open to all GLASC members. NORTH SAFETY
will present Hand Protection and Respirator Fit Testing.

August Meeting Minutes

| MANY THANKS to Don Snapp
and Fairfield Contractors for hosting the
August GLASC Meeting. Also special thanks to Kent Mills
of Kaeser & BlairLafayette Promotional Products
for preparing a program at short notice. Kent talked about various methods of
re-energizing a company's safety program. Kent offered examples of incentives that
could be used, as well as ideas and tips on promoting safety among workers.
Also thanks to Regional Occupational Care Center
for providing lunch.

Executive Board News

| The Executive Board has been meeting this summer to discuss various
topics. The following projects have been divided into sub-committees for further
evaluation. Recommendations on each topic will be presented to the Executive Board
in October and to the GLASC membership at November's monthly meeting: |
Monthly Meetings Steering Committee

| Looking at ways to enhance our monthly meetings. Topics include
frequency of meetings; format of meetings; conference issues. Contact John

Communications Steering Committee
|
| Discussing how to best get information to GLASC members; establishing a
web site; using e-mail messages; putting GLASC Membership Directory on-line. Contact

New Membership Committee

| Looking at ways to welcome and orient new members into GLASC. A
"Welcome Packet" is being designed. Contact Kent Mills at
